RIC is located at Kampung Kasugira, Kuala Penyu. It is approximately 120 km from the capital city of Sabah, Kota Kinabalu which takes about 3 hours drive, approximately 40 km from Beaufort which takes about 30 minutes drive and approximately 10 km from Kuala Penyu which takes 10 minutes drive.
You can go to RIC by rent car or take a bus to Kuala Penyu from Beaufort town.
RIC is manage by Beaufort Forest District Office. Apart from being an information center which provides basic information on Rumbia, it is also open for public visit as a tourist spot.
